It’s hard to trust God, I admit that. When things are going wrong, we try to fix them ourselves. We rely on ourselves to move about life, blindly tackling each obstacle that we reach, right? We stress because we do not know what the future holds.
What would it look like if you fully trusted Jesus with all of your problems? Isn’t that what we are supposed to do as saved Christians, anyway? When we have money struggles, we should thank God for the fact we have money to struggle with. Are we tithing? Are we giving to others who are in desperate need? When we have health struggles, are we thanking God for the bodies we have been given, and the life we have been given to fulfill our destiny on earth? When you are struggling with a relationship, are you praying for that person? Are you praying to God in thanksgiving for the blessings of being surrounded with family and friends? Perhaps these struggles are to shape us into the type of Christian He wants us to be. Let’s look at what the Bible says about stressing out over life’s ups and downs…
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” NIV
